A lucky individual in Quebec is starting their weekend with a whole lot more in the bank, as a single winning ticket for Friday’s Lotto Max jackpot of $50 million was sold in the province.

“Someone in Quebec is waking up $50 million richer,” officials remarked following the draw.

While the main jackpot saw a winner, the Maxmillion draws, which provide additional chances to win $1 million, did not yield any victors this time around. Two Maxmillion prizes were available during Friday’s draw, but both remained unclaimed.

Looking ahead, lottery enthusiasts have another opportunity to try their luck. The jackpot for the upcoming draw on Oct. 10 is set to be an estimated $12 million.

Lottery participants are encouraged to check their tickets. As always, winners have a specific time frame to claim their prize.
