A person was injured in a stabbing incident in Brampton, leading to a high school in the vicinity being placed under lockdown.

Incident Details

Peel Regional Police reported a stabbing incident that occurred on Tuesday morning just before 10:30 a.m. The location of the incident was pinpointed around the Steeles Avenue East and Kennedy Road area in Brampton.

Initial reports from the scene suggested that a student sustained minor injuries during the episode. However, later clarifications from the police generalized the information, stating that one individual had been stabbed.

School’s Response

As a result of the nearby disturbance, Turner Fenton Secondary, which is in close proximity to the reported area, took immediate action by going into lockdown.

A police spokesperson stated, “At this time, authorities cannot confirm if the stabbing occurred on school property or if the victim was a student or educator.”
