A severe collision involving a car and an SUV on Salford Road, just outside of Ingersoll, led to serious injuries for one driver, who was airlifted to the hospital on Monday
A catastrophic road incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. Monday on Salford Road, between Pigram Road and Culloden Line, near Highway 401. The crash involved a car and an SUV, resulting in severe, potentially life-altering injuries for one of the drivers.
Ontario Provincial Police reported that the critically injured individual was transported to the hospital by Ornge Air Ambulance. Details about the victim’s identity and current condition remain undisclosed.
A second person involved in the accident sustained minor injuries. There has been no further information regarding the nature of these injuries or the individual’s identity.

The OPP, in their statement, emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting that one of the drivers suffered from “life-altering” injuries. The seriousness of the crash prompted an immediate response from emergency services, including air ambulance support.
Salford Road was closed for investigation and cleanup, with the OPP stating that it would remain so for much of the night. As of 11 p.m. Monday, there was no update on when the road would reopen. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes to avoid the area.
